Accessibility

Welsh Government has developed this website to serve the largest possible audience of users. The ‘Recite Me’ translation software converts the Sanctuary website into over 100 languages. This widens the number of people seeking sanctuary who are able to access the website.

We aim to follow accessibility standards. This includes general principles for how the website should look and work. This should help all visitors to this website.

The website is designed to support users who are blind or visually impaired. It incorporates screen reading software through the ‘Recite Me’ tool.

Welsh Government website accessibility is guided by the Worldwide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. We aim to meet the AA standard wherever possible.

Maintaining an accessible site is an ongoing process and we are continually working to make sure everyone can access and use our website. If you have trouble using our website, please contact us: refugees@gov.wales
