The Vale of Glamorgan is located in South Wales and is located next to Bridgend on the west and Cardiff on the east. It has a population of 130,700. The area is one of the wealthiest in Wales and has a substantial agriculture industry. 

The largest towns in Vale of Glamorgan are Penarth, Barry and Cowbridge. Around 85% of the population speak English in this region. 

There are many faiths in the region and there is a mosque in Barry. Information can be found here.

The ‘M4’ is the nearest major road to the north of the area. Penarth and Barry are not far from Cardiff and they can be reached by car in around 15 minutes.  

Cardiff Airport is located in this area near Barry in an area called Rhoose. Information can be found here

The main train stations in the area are found in Penarth and in Barry.

Tickets can be bought at the station ticket office or by visiting National Rail.
